The sequel to the 3-hour long box office hit is officially going ahead, with Robert Pattinson returning as the Batman.
Despite numerous reports of the film being pushed back, The Batman 2 is all but confirmed according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s no surprise that the sequel is in production considering the huge success the first film was, grossing $770.8 million worldwide.
Hollywood big name Robert Pattinson is returning as the caped crusader and Matt Reeves is locked in to return to the directors chair.
Warner Bros. did officially announce in April that The Batman 2 was in production but since then, we had heard nothing. Now on the back of this new artwork we can relax knowing that the film is officially moving forward.

While we don’t know for certain who the next main villain will be, this artwork hints at the possibility of fan-favourite Mr Freeze or could it be the character that was teased in the post credits scene?
We also don’t have a release day yet, it’s speculated that it will be in 2024 after Producer Dylan Clark promised the film will be out ‘in the next five years.’
