Police officer charged over mid-range drink-driving offence
A Queensland police officer has been stood down after being charged with mid-range drink driving while off duty.
The 39-year-old male senior constable from Northern Region is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 15.
A Queensland Police Service statement says: “In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct”.
