Police are hunting two men following separate armed robberies in Townsville.
The first incident happened at the Bob’s Bulk Booze bottle shop on Hugh Street in Garbutt around 9pm Sunday.
A man armed with a knife demanded cash and stole alcohol before fleeing in a white Ford Falcon with false number plates.
It’s understood a second unknown person was driving the vehicle.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, likely in his 30s or 40s, around 170cm tall and was wearing a red cap, grey flannelette shirt and a face cover.
Then around 10pm Sunday, a man entered a Thuringowa Central petrol station, claiming he had a knife.
He demanded cigarettes before fleeing on foot with the cigarettes and bottles of drinks from the fridge.
The offender is described as First Nations in appearance, around 180cm tall, with a stocky build, wearing a red jumper, black cap and had a football jersey wrapped around his face.
Anyone with information or dash-cam vision that could help investigations is urged to contact police.
