An investigation is underway after a woman was stabbed at Aitkenvale this morning.
Police were called to Ross River Road around 1.30am and found the 46-year-old victim.
She was able to provide information to officers who conducted patrols of the area and within fifteen minutes, identified a person of interest.

A 35-year-old woman is now assisting with enquiries.
The victim has been taken to Townsville Hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the disturbance, or who may have relevant CCTV or dash camera footage from Ross River Road near Elizabeth Street, to contact them.
Investigations are ongoing.
