A 36-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 39-year-old woman after she suffered a life-threatening injury on Palm Island.
Emergency services were called to a Clump Road residence on September 1, following reports the woman had sustained a head injury.
She was airlifted to Townsville University Hospital for treatment, however passed away from her injuries on September 3.

Officers charged the 36-year-old Palm Island man with murder (domestic violence offence) on September 16.
The man has been remanded in custody and will face the Townsville Magistrates Court on November 5.
It will be further alleged the woman and man were known to each other.
