A 42-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a woman suffered life-threatening injuries at a Vincent home.
Emergency services were called to a Dalrymple Service Road address just before 1.30pm on Saturday.
The 41-year-old woman was taken to Townsville University Hospital.
Police declared a crime scene and the man was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm, a domestic violence offence.
He will face the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
Police are continuing to provide support to the family of the 41-year-old woman who have requested privacy at this time.
Witnesses, or anyone with information or relevant footage, are urged to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
