A 31-year-old Kirwan man has been charged after allegedly fleeing the scene of a fatal traffic crash at Heatley.
It follows investigations into the crash between a motorbike and a Holden Commodore along Dalrymple Service Road on April 23, which claimed the life of the motorcyclist, a 19-year-old Vincent man.
The Kirwan man allegedly fled the scene and abandoned the Holden Commodore at a Kirwan address.

Following an extensive investigation, police identified him as the alleged driver.
He was arrested in Innisfail yesterday and has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and driving unlicensed.
He will appear in the Innisfail Magistrates Court today.
