Police investigating a murder in Townsville are trying to identify a woman who may be able to assist.
The woman (pictured), who visited the Shamrock Hotel in South Townsville around 4.40pm on June 8, may be able to provide information to assist the investigation into the death of a man in Townsville City on June 9.
The woman is urged to contact police.
On June 15, a 39-year-old man died as a result of injuries sustained in an alleged assault in Townsville City on June 9.
Emergency services were called to a Blackwood Street address just after 12.30am to reports a man had fallen from a balcony.
Upon arrival, a 39-year-old Kelso man was located with multiple stab wounds and life-threatening injuries from the fall.
He was transported in a critical condition to Townsville University Hospital where he died on June 15.
A 51-year-old Kelso woman was charged with one count each of wounding (domestic violence offence) and grievous bodily harm (domestic violence offence), before the charge was upgraded to murder (domestic violence offence) on June 17.
The woman has been remanded in custody to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on September 26.
Anyone who can identify the woman pictured or who has information or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist the investigation, is urged to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
