A man accused of taking hostages at a Townsville pub has been charged.
It’s alleged a 35-year-old man entered Irish Finnegan’s in Condon armed with a knife, an axe and a can of petrol around 5.30pm Friday.
The man allegedly threatened staff and demanded the door be locked.

Police arrived and tasered the man, who was taken into custody.
He’s been charged with enter premises with intent, going armed to cause fear, deprivation of liberty and two counts of serious assault of a police officer.
He will re-appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
