A man accused of stabbing a woman to death in Mundingburra, is assisting police with their investigation.
Emergency services were called around 11.45am yesterday, to a Wellington Street address following reports a woman had suffered critical stab wounds.
The 44-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene.

A 25-year-old man was taken into custody at a Gulliver Street address, and is assisting police with enquiries.
It will be alleged the man and woman are known to each other.
Investigations are ongoing.
Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in either area at the time is urged to contact police.
