More than 100 millimetres of rain has been recorded in parts of the region overnight.
While most of Townsville recorded 50-70mm last night, 133mm of rain was dumped at Upper Bluewater in the six hours to 3.00am.
Other overnight totals include 83mm at Rollingstone, 91mm at Toolakea, 70mm at North Ward and 64mm at Deeragun.

More rain is forecast today, with the chance of a severe thunderstorm which could bring heavy rain and lead to flash flooding.
