Queensland’s COVID traffic light system has switched from green to amber, after a rise in cases.
Active infections have increased 60 per cent over the past week and hospitalisations have nearly doubled.
The Townsville Hospital and Health Service is currently caring for 10 patients with Covid-19 across their facilities.

Under the Amber setting, masks are strongly recommended in high risk settings, and where it’s difficult to socially distance.
